Showcasing Oman’s leading oil and gas training facility
Takatuf Petrofac Oman (TPO) is a state-of-the-art training centre for the oil and gas sector. To stand out at an exhibition, they needed a way to demonstrate their scale, realism and unique approach. Working with Oilennium, their digital learning partner, we created a 360º virtual tour – immersing audiences in the experience of training at TPO.
The challenge
TPO is a purpose-built training facility, using replica rigs, workshops and simulators to provide realistic hands-on experience in a safe environment. The centre needed to showcase its quality and distinctiveness at a high-profile exhibition in Oman. Static brochures or presentations would not capture the facility’s size, sophistication or impact. The challenge was to find a format that could convey the scale and depth of the training environment, while allowing exhibition visitors to feel as though they were there in person. TPO turned to Oilennium, who partnered with us to develop an engaging and portable virtual experience.

The process
Our crew travelled to Oman to film the facility over three days, capturing a complete walk-through from the perspective of a visiting student or client. Subject matter experts acted as guides, explaining both the practical and classroom-based aspects of training. To emphasise the centre’s scale, we filmed in stereo 360º – enabling viewers to fully appreciate the depth of the replica rigs and workshops. The finished tour was loaded onto Pico Goblin headsets for the exhibition, offering an immersive on-stand experience. To maximise reach, the video was also uploaded to YouTube for remote audiences.

The outcome
The 360º tour gave delegates a first-hand sense of what makes TPO unique, immersing them in the facilities without leaving the exhibition hall. The experience highlighted the centre’s combination of safety, realism and scale – creating a strong competitive advantage. Exhibition visitors praised the format as both memorable and convincing, and TPO successfully demonstrated why it is the training partner of choice in Oman. Beyond the event, the YouTube upload extended the impact globally, providing a lasting promotional tool. The project proved that immersive technology can powerfully communicate value in industries where physical experience is key.
