More colours, more options, more roomsets – virtually
The Task
IKEA is famous for their vast stores across the world. Their Order and Collection points, however, are much smaller – showing a fraction of IKEA’s catalogue and serving as inspiration for people living in areas without a full-size IKEA to create their living spaces and put them on order. But how could IKEA show more of their catalogue in a restricted space? Virtual reality.
The Outcome
We created a virtual IKEA – a series of homesets in different styles furnished in items from the IKEA catalogue. Users select which style they most prefer and then they can explore the roomset. Plus they can customise key items within the room – for example, changing the colour of the sofa or the style of the table. They can also isolate a product to inspect it closer and walk all the way around it to get a sense of scale. With options to save favourite items for later, which can then be ordered at the store, the experience adds an extra dimension to the IKEA retail experience.
Do you have a message you want to convey? A situation that needs simulating, or an audience that needs reaching? Whatever your challenge – we have the ideas, the experience, and the equipment to help.
